| Shinhcocha, which started business in 1896, published books of naturalists. In 1914 it published Shicho library and afterwards published many books and collections. For literary magazines it has novels published first after the Second World War beside novels first published in 1904, and with weekly magazines it was successful by politically right-wing editing method. First starting photo magazine in 1981, it had temporarily over 2 million copies of issuing with radical editing polity such as publishing photo of boy suspect(14 years old) that a court was hiding, and in 2001 it was suspended of publication after becoming deteriorated. This company sticked to ‘Don’t deal with women and children’ as it failed in starting women magazine before, but after 2000 it greatly changed from its existing line, starting issuing sports yearbook or publishing of , and women magazine . As for literature it has many literature prizes which support prizes such as pure Misima Yukio prize, Yamamoto Sugor prize. Recently, the boom of newly published books in Japan’s publication field became the conversation topic, and in case of Shinchosa, it drew attention of public that it broke through total of 10 million copies only after 3 years from its starting of Siniseo series in April 2003. And as best sellers were published, such as , , , it drew attention as successful new books. On the other hand, very various kinds of books from new books and literature works are being continuously contracted in Korea. |
